The Story Continues...

Sitting in the lower room, both Tara and her teacher breathe deeply and and enter into deep meditation. At first, nothing comes...just black blankness. Then, in a rush of colour and light, beautiful imagery pervades the silence. Times when she was younger, much younger than today. Times from past lives, when she lived in a town, a country, far far away from here. A vision appears of Tara standing again near the stage, watching the princess talk, in the most incredible voice. No sound could be heard, however. Not even the din of the voices of the people were audible.
After what seems like an eternity to her, Tara ends the meditation. "Nothing new there," she thinks.
She re-centers herself and begins to offer up a prayer for guidance to the Gods and Goddesses. Almost as an afterthought, she decides to pray to to the Gods of the machalaskimuthe instead of her own. "To Meliarna, Goddess of Dreams...to Santyra, God of the Future and the Past. Guide me to an answer, to a meaning, to an understanding of this dream that I have experienced through your infinite knowing," she silently intones.
Tara's teacher smiles faintly as he senses Tara's inner soul, her spirit, rise from her body and ascend into the upper room and levitate above the pool of clear water in the center of the room. A chair shimmers into existence in front of Tara above the glistening pool, and upon the chair sits a regal woman, one whom Tara had never seen before, but whom she recognizes as Meliarna, Goddess of Dreams.
"Sweet Tara, Daughter of Mercuria and Massian, Queen and King of this royal land. A change is coming. There is nothing that can be done to prevent it...the chapter has already been written in the great book of time. But fear not, for with my guidance and your strength, the world will be righted once again. A princess will appear and lead her people out of misery, shining light on the deceptions committed by the less righteous of your people. But she will be the biggest deception of all..." her voice fades out as she returns to her place looking over the populace. Tara's inner soul slowly rejoins her body, waiting in the room below. Her eyes open with a start.
"And what, my dear, have you learned, if anything?" her teacher asked.
