This is all actually Penny's fault. One Wednesday she was so absorbed by listening to her father's Les Mis CD'S she had given him for his birthday that she totally missed Voyager. After Robin found this out she ranted for two minutes about what a lame excuse that was. She was so busy ranting in fact that she didn't even notice when Penny began to sing Les Mis instead of listening to her. Afterward Penny swore she would get Robin hooked.
Several months, 6 CD's, Two
tapes and a video later, Robin's as into Les Mis as Penny is (except
she never read the book).
Dana got addicted because she borrowed Robin's CDs after being
frustrated that every one knew the words except her. She memorized
them very fast and got her own CDs for easter

Between us, there is one character
who our absolute favorite, that's Eponine.
In fact, we even gave her
her own page.
The three of us all went to see the new Les Mis Movie when it came out. Penny had read about it in her english class and found out that it did not follow the plot of the book and musical as closely as we had hoped it would. When we saw it we were horrified to discover that two minor parts but extremely important characters had been omitted including our beloved Eponine. They had the story right only to a certain degree and if they had changed the time, persons and character names we would have said it only had a passing resemblance to the story. Our final verdict was this, good as a movie by itself but it stunk as an interpretation of the musical or book.
The high
school music department saw Les Mis this January, which means
that Penny finally got to see it performed. She loved it! Go
Here to see her LiveJournal entry about it.
